Ben Malan is the Administrator & Children’s Pastor at Faith Community Church. As admin, he oversees the management of the office, creating systems and organizing spaces. As children’s pastor, he plans Faith Kids classes on Sunday, as well as recruits and manages the team of people who will be investing in the children every week. He also plans special kids events throughout the year.

Ben and his family first started attending FCC in May of 2021. Ben has been involved in children’s ministry since he was a teenager, helping at an AWANA program and VBS. Since then, he has worked in several churches, as well as camps, schools, homework support, and childcare. Ben attended Moody Bible Institute in Chicago and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Family Ministry, with an emphasis in Child Ministry.

I definitely learned a lot at college, but I am also grateful for the variety of opportunities to watch and serve with so many people who do a great job working with kids.

Ben is passionate about helping kids establish a firm foundation in Jesus so that they can build on that foundation for the rest of their lives.

Outside of ministry, Ben enjoys outdoor activities, such as biking, hiking, skiing, kayaking, and playing Frisbee or Aerobie.
